Did Someone Say “Festival?”
In Macon, excitement is always in the air—no matter the season! Our city’s signature event, the Cherry Blossom Festival (more on this below), may have just concluded but don’t worry: There are a lot more family-friendly events to explore. Here’s what’s coming.
Coming Up:
Eat, Drink and Be Cherry!
It’s been another successful year for the city’s signature event, but we still think it’s worth mentioning (so you can visit us again next year!). Every March, Macon becomes a pink, cotton-spun paradise thanks to more than 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees all over the city. What originally started as a three-day festival has since grown into a monthlong celebration featuring hundreds of events. Macon, Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival is considered one of the top 20 events in the south, top 50 events in the U.S. and top 100 events in North America.
