Pet-Friendly Adventures at Carlyle Place

We would never make you choose Fido over us! Carlyle Place is happy to be a pet-friendly community. So many of our residents bring their cats or dogs when joining our community, and we love welcoming furry residents. We’ve got some canine superstars, like Candy Scully, who is a trained EMD (Emergency Medical Dog) for her human, and a few rascals (who we still love very much!) like our October Dog of the Month, Pumpkin Scott, hater of golf carts and “small dog syndrome” sufferer.

The fun doubles when you bring your fur baby to join the Carlyle Place family. There’s just as much for them in the central Georgia area as there is for you!

Stop by the Macon Dog Park

The local community opened the Macon Dog Park, or as some neighbors lovingly refer to it as Tyler’s Place after the dog who started it all in 2004. At Tyler’s Place, dogs can run free and play without their leashes in a beautiful outdoor environment. There are pavilions, benches and even water fountains for both you and your pup. If you want to enjoy a bit of fresh air while getting a little exercise with your pup, you’ll both love a trip down to the park.

You can have just as much fun as your pup when you take them to Barks N Brews, an off-leash dog park with a bar. Barks N Brews hosts multiple doggy play dates each month, so visit their website to find fun outings for your furry friend.

Go for a walk around our landscaped paths

Our walking paths aren’t just for feet! Your pup will love going for a walk around Carlyle Place’s beautifully landscaped campus. Join the many other neighbors who take their dogs on daily walks. Just remember to clean up after your pet so others can continue to enjoy the trail!

Support local businesses and take your furry one shopping

We’re always happy to support a small business, especially one with customers this adorable! Noah’s Ark Pet & Grooming is a local, family-owned pet store that sells pet food and accessories, as well as has grooming and pop-up vet services. If you’re looking into expanding your family, Noah’s Ark also hosts adoption events!

Take your pup for a spa day

We can’t give Fido a wash and style here on campus, but plenty of local dog groomers can! Dog’s World Grooming is a local dog grooming salon that has been in the community for years. If your pup needs a fresh cut, give them a call to book an appointment.

If you’ve been looking for the perfect retirement community for you and your furry one, contact us to see what we have to offer your entire family — both furry and human. Call us at 478-405-4500 to schedule a tour now (and bring the pups!).
