As the days grow shorter and farms yield their bounty, everyone at Carlyle Place gears up for this lively celebration packed with autumn-themed food and entertainment served with a side of friendship and community spirit. BBQ & Bourbon Kicked off the Celebration
Laughter, music, and mouthwatering flavors were the order of the day at our BBQ & Bourbon Bash. The culinary highlight: a whole roasted pig smoked to perfection and paired with a selection of smooth bourbons. And just as in years past, the Ruby Reds, one of Georgia’s longest-running jazz bands, had toes tapping and spirits soaring.
A Cozy Corner of Comfort and Flavor
A delicious start: Residents began their day with a hearty breakfast bar serving fresh bagels, flaky croissants, sweet pastries, savory frittatas, sparkling mimosas, and enough coffee to satisfy any caffeine fix. Sharing time with friends and neighbors also promotes social wellness.
Tell Them Boris Sent You
Ghosts, ghoulies, and creatures of all shapes and sizes assembled for our annual Monster Bash Jam. This graveyard smash served up plenty of finger foods along with beer, wine, and a selection of otherworldly libations. DJ Dusty kept the party alive, and prizes were awarded for the most creative costumes.
A Spectacular Fall Festival, Thanks to Our Resident Life Team
It takes a lot of work to make sure everything “falls” into place during Harvest Week, but our Resident Life team was more than ripe for the challenge. From setting tables and hanging decorations to booking entertainment and cooking delectable autumn treats, the Carlyle Place staff went above and beyond.
A Bavarian Bash Featuring the Fabulous Boomers
Our Oktoberfest jamboree gave residents the opportunity to connect and socialize while enjoying a glass of beer with a warm pretzel in hand. After feasting on bratwurst and schnitzel, folks were serenaded by contemporary hits, oldies, and progressive country music, courtesy of The Fabulous Boomers. Prost!
Carlyle Place Has … Talent?
They might not be ready for prime time, but the Carlyle Place team always gives it their all during our Fall Follies variety show. Every year, wannabe singers and dancers share the stage with amateur skit comics to the delight of our residents.
Comedian Jody Fuller Delivered a Laugh a Minute
What do you get when you combine a father, speaker, writer, soldier, and lifetime stutterer into one package? Comedian Jody Fuller, of course. Known for his unique blend of humor and inspiration, Jody often makes his stutter a key part of his punchlines. He’s also been named one of the top 15 southern stand-up comedians by It’s a Southern Thing.
Staying Social: A Key to Aging Well
Shared traditions like our Harvest Week fall festival strengthen community ties and build enduring friendships—both of which cultivate social wellness. And no matter the season, the people who call Carlyle Place home have elevated friendliness to an art form. They’re always ready for a round of pickleball, a game of cards, or an impromptu lunch.
