Social Accountability

Carlyle Place both recognizes and encourages the importance that our residents place on engaging with the greater community. There is a strong theme of social responsibility and giving back that resonates throughout our campus.
The slate of volunteer and community service opportunities is geared specifically to our residents’ areas of interest. Many residents have introduced their own long-standing passion projects.
Recent projects have included:
- Making cards for active U.S. Military members in coordination with the USO
- Creating quilts and blankets for patients of of Children’s Hospital
- Service projects for Ronald McDonald House, Goodwill Industries, and Adopt-a-Highway — just to name a few.
Each year, our residents dedicate thousands of hours to charities and nonprofit organizations in the greater Macon area. Seniors have a lifetime of experience, knowledge, and unique skills sets to offer as volunteers. Carlyle Place encourages and supports our community’s emphasis on giving back. Our community’s emphasis on service makes it a great place to live a rewarding and fulfilling lifestyle.
